Curran & Holtom deliver Chevrolet and the Cobalt SS another win with the Georgian Bay racing team.
KONI ST star Eric Curran is thankful to have found winner’s circle for two races in a row, but knows it takes a complete team effort to do so. “Two in a row is never easy, especially in such a competitive class with over 40 cars and such talented drivers in KONI Challenge. The Georgian Bay Chevy Cobalt SS team has been working very hard for the last four years building a strong Cobalt package and their hard work is paying off. We are more prepared than ever in 2008 and desperately want to win a championship. We have come so close in years past and are determined to finish the year with a championship.”
6/20/08 Curran builds momentum with solid 4th place finish
Eric Curran’s SPEED World Challenge GT season to date could be described in one word: frustrating. After big hopes of a championship in 2008 based on his epic 2007 run to winning 40% of the races held, ’08 began with a streak of bad luck that Curran could only wait to run out.
With his 4th place finish at the Watkins Glen SPEED GT round, Curran’s ready to put the first half of the season behind him. “Going into the Watkins glen weekend the Whelen team and I felt great.
“It feels great to be back in victory circle with our Chevy Cobalt SS!” Eric Curran exclaimed after scoring the victory at the Lime Rock Park Grand-Am KONI ST round with co-driver Jamie Holtom. “We started the season at Daytona with a 5th place finish and hoped to better that at Lime Rock; the Georgian Bay Chevy Cobalt SS team worked hard in between these two races to give us the best car possible for Lime Rock, and it’s obvious they did.”
World Challenge and KONI star delivers a strong performance in his American Le Mans debut with LG Motorsports.
SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT and KONI Challenge driver Eric Curran found himself behind the wheel of yet another impressive piece of Chevrolet machinery at the recent American Le Mans round held in Tooele, Utah.
Curran, accustomed to racing and winning with his Whelen Engineering Corvette in SPEED GT and his Georgian Bay Cobalt in KONI ST, was drafted into the LG Motorsports ALMS Corvette C6 for round four of the championship, held at Miller Motorsports Park.
